For my final excursion of 2019, I pack my bags for a vacation to Costa Rica. The first day is filled with traveling, as my friend and I make our way down to the small, southeastern town of Puerto Viejo.

A Weekend in Niagara
A wintertime, weekend escape to Canada to visit Niagara Falls and take in the scenery of Niagara-on-the-Lake for a few wine tours, including a taste of their renowned Icewines.
“I Love You, Now”
“I can’t give you life until I spark my light inside… It’s a lie that it was you – When I admired the parts of me I never knew. Our goodbye, my hello. The sweetest love note I ever wrote.”
“Sweet Nothings”
“I want to make love on balconies, savor the sweet indulgences of cuisines- tasting you after tasting me…Teaching me to control my irreligious yearnings. Bring me to my peak, lingering on naive and conscious reality…”
“Mine”
“…Piercing my shadows when you go a little deep. Hold me; Ain’t no rush to release. Ain’t no time, when there’s peace. You said, ‘That’s mine,’ and I don’t disagree.”
“Growing Pains”
“Bury your pain inside my womb so I can grow you a garden. There’s nothing I can’t transmute; I’m both the muse and the artist…”
“HerStory”
“She walked through lava; back-stroked the abyss. Hugged her shadow child; and the moon, she would kiss.”
Puerto Rico: Day 5
“…When it was my time – when I was ready – it was surely my divine timing to have this adventure. It worked out so beautifully and effortlessly. I challenged myself in newer ways and conquered everything I set my mind to. I turned off everything and just focused on my Self – on my joy, on my peace and desires. I went at my pace and allowed things to unfold as they should.”
Puerto Rico: Day 4
On this day, I head to nearby Ocean Park for a stay at a holistic bed & breakfast. I also take in the street art of Calle Cerra in Santurce and danced the night away at a local spot with live music!
Puerto Rico: Day 3, Part 2
“One dance in particular, ‘children were not allowed to do it because of how emotional it is.’ I felt the beat of the drum, foot stomps, and passion deep in my soul; I was intimately moved by the spirit of the dance.”
