Curious to understand different perspectives, I read Brother Nuri’s book, which interprets and modernizes Proverbs 31. It depicts the Black woman as someone worthy of worldly protection and outlines the ways of such a virtuous woman. I briefly reflect on and share meaningful excerpts, as I adapt the lessons into my own life of spirituality.
